Surgical Correction of Ebstein's Anomaly -Report of One Case-

Abstract

|
Ebstein's anomaly is characterized by the downward displacement of malformed tricuspid valve. The surgical correction is variable. Recently we experienced a case of Ebstein's anomaly experienced.
The patient was 38 year old female. Initially, annular plication was performed but low cardiac output syndrome was developed. The echocardiac finding revealed the right ventricular hematoma beneath the septal leaflet. On the next day tricuspid
valve
replacement with Carpertier-Edwards(33 mm) was performed with evacuation of hematoma.
The postoperative course was uneventful and the patient was discharged on the 23rd . Postoperative day. (Korean J Thoracic Cardiovas Surg 1994; 27:1027-30)
